Today the band stepped out to honour those who have given, and those who give now, so much of themselves in service to others keeping our country safe. With the 100th Anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli this year, ANZAC Day was massive. AWPD had members playing at Dawn Services at Albury, Wodonga and Howlong. The Band marched in the Albury street march before racing over to Wodonga for the street march there. We then went to visit some of our very generous sponsors – the Albury SS&A Club (www.ssaclub.com.au) and the Commercial Club Albury (www.commercialclubalbury.com.au) for a tune or two, and a cheeky beer.
