This year 3 members of AWPD ventured to the Jakarta Highland Gathering. Pipe Major Angus Beath, and Pipers Jack Dempsey and Andrew Dye were the travellers. All three competed in the solos and acquitted themselves very well, especially Andrew and Jack in their first solo outings.

Competing with Georgia McCourt and Tom Mewett from the Scots School Albury Pipe Band as “Riverina Highlanders” the quintet took out 2nd place in the Open South East Asian Championships. A very solid outing by the team, and a credit to AWPD and the Scots School Albury.
