About

Albury-Wodonga Pipes & Drums (AWPD), have been performing for the community and surrounding district over three decades. We were established as such, in 1985.

Currently a non-competition band, Albury-Wodonga Pipes & Drums perform for dinners / cabarets, military ceremonies, festivals and parades, fetes, social, family and clan gatherings.

The band has over 30 members aged from school students to retirees.  We are a great mix of experience and enthusiasm and keen to share this with you.   Albury-Wodonga Pipes & Drums wears the ‘Ancient Caledonia’ tartan.

AWPD practice on a Thursday night at the Wodonga Show Grounds. Learners are from 6PM, full band practice is from 7PM. We welcome new members and also anyone who is interested in coming down for a look. We are in the Green Shed on the right hand side as you come in. The gate opens automatically.

AWPD is mostly self funded – generating income from our performances to cover the costs of running the band, and requesting donations from the wonderful clubs around Albury and Wodonga.
