We welcome new members to the band – especially learners willing to try their hand at pipes or drums.

Lessons are from 6PM on Thursday night at the band shed. Learners and families are welcome to stay throughout practices to watch, listen and learn, and also welcome to attend band engagements.

Please note that 2019 is the year we are introducing fees for both piping and drumming lessons – lessons will cost $50 per learner, per school term (there are four terms in total over the course of the year). For our families, the first learner will be full price ($50 per term) with the second learner being half price ($25 per term). There will be a maximum fee of $75 per family, per term. The Treasurer will issue learners with an invoice at the start of every school term, with a two-week pay period.

Learner pipers typically need to purchase a practice chanter, drummers may need to purchase some sticks. Everything else is supplied. We welcome everyone to these and being able to read music or play another instrument is not a prerequisite! A willingness to learn and have some fun is 🙂
