Hi Everyone

Following the AGM, congratulations go to PM Angus Beath – Angus was awarded Life Membership in recognition of over 20 years of active membership of our band, including 11 years as Pipe Major and Musical Director. Angus has been active in our Executive Committee, participated in many fundraising endeavours, and has shared knowledge with the band from the numerous state, interstate, and overseas competitions he has been a part of. Thank you, Angus, for your extraordinary efforts.

Congratulations also go to Barry Prater for being awarded AWPD’s Bandsperson of the Year. This award recognises Barry’s tireless fundraising efforts over the past year, and his ability to play many important roles within our band, always with a smile – President, Drum Major, and Side Drummer. Thank you, Barry.

Members, if you do not have a belt as part of your band uniform, please let Neill know ASAP so that he can measure you and collate numbers for an order.

Please also provide your kilt measurements to me ASAP so we can put in a bulk kilt order by the end of July. To measure for a kilt, you will need to measure the following:
– Circumference of your waist (at your navel)
– Circumference of your hips
– The drop: kneel on the floor and measure the length from your navel to the floor. Remove 1 cm from this measurement.

If you would prefer to be measured at band practice, please let me or Neill know.

Thanks
Erin
